Founded as an airport IT service provider for the highest requirements
AirITSystems was founded in 2001 as a joint venture of Flughäfen Hannover Langenhagen GmbH and Fraport AG. Due to the complexity of IT and very high security requirements, IT security, service quality and performance are key factors in our corporate focus and philosophy.
Challenges in the Terminal C conversion at the Hanover airport
AirITSystems is a trusted IT partner when it comes to conversions and renovations We supported, planned and handled IT during the conversion of Hanover airport's Terminal C – from wiring installation to implementation. Of course, we constructed and repeatedly tested key systems, such as video surveillance system and fire detector technology. In addition, we created controllers for the luggage conveyor system and check-in system. These systems required us to install many kilometres of data cables. A wiring network over 20 km in length was installed for the system infrastructure alone. Careful, detailed planning of each individual step was the most important part of the process.
Hanover Airport – Headquarters and one of our largest customers
The Hanover Airport is both a shareholder in our company and serves as our headquarters, as well as one of our largest customers. AirITSystems’ most important function is to ensure the smooth operation of all IT processes. We are responsible for compliance with over 40 concluded service level agreements in the PC service, computing centre, and airport and communication system areas. We maintain and regularly update all information and communication systems, as well as part of the building equipment at the Hanover Airport.
In some projects, we provide support through planning, requirements analyses, creating performance specifications, completing tendering processes, implementation and advising for project phases, and operation as needed. From small to large projects, we always focus on the highest level of security and quality.
